Natura Siberica Oblepikha Siberica Shampoo & Conditioner Review + GIVEAWAY

Natura Siberica, founded in 2007, is a well known and loved brand in Europe and now Australians are also able to easily access this brand since it launched 26 products here in September 2015.

Natura Siberica is an organic body and hair product range based on wild harvested herbs and flowers exclusively sourced from Siberia.

With both my parents born in Estonia I was fascinated to see that these products are produced in Estonia. Guess what goodies I'm adding to my mum's Christmas present this year!

Some of Natura Siberica's 26 Products Released in Australia

The Natura Siberica Range is certified as organic by the ICEA and all the products in the range contain:
  • no parabens
  • no SLS (sodium lauryl sulphate)
  • no SLES (sodium laureth sulphates)
  • no PEG (polythylene glycol)
  • no glycols and
  • no minerals oils!
In simplified words they contain no potential chemical nasties!

I was lucky to receive the Oblepihka Siberica Shampoo and the Oblepikha Siberica Conditioner Nutrition and Repair set to trial and review at the recent Bloggers United AU Sydney event.

Natura Siberica Oblepikha Siberica Shampoo and Conditioner

Oblepikha Siberica Nutrition and Repair Shampoo
400ml $17.99
This shampoo is designed to
  • straighten hair
  • repair damaged hair structure
  • make brushing easier.

Oblepikha Siberica Shampoo

This shampoo is listed as containing:
  • Altai Oblepikha (Sea-Buckthorn) Organic Oil
  • Organic Moroccan Argan Oil
  • Organic Oil of White Siberian Flaxseeds,
  • Organic Rhodiola Rosea  and Snow Cladonia
  • Vitamins and Amino Acids.
I found this shampoo to have a beautiful scent. I can't fully describe it other than saying it is almost citrus-like. I'm presuming it's the scent of Siberian wild herbs and flowers that I don't recognise.

Altai Oblepihka is a famous Siberian berry which has been used by Siberian locals for centuries to strengthen their hair, revitalize their skin and even heal wounds. It is the richest natural source of beta-carotene and is full of Omega 3, 6, 7 & 9 acids, has 22 other fatty acids and 36 kinds of flavonoids! That little berry sure packs a healthy punch! No wonder it is used in so many Natura Siberica products.

After using this shampoo my hair felt clean, soft, sleeker and smoother.

Oblepikha Siberica Nutrition and Repair Conditioner 400ml $17.99
I love the gorgeous burnt orange colour of the Nutrition and Repair Oblepikha Conditioner bottle which makes it easy to distinguish from the rich turquoise blue colour of the Oblepikha Shampoo bottle. This makes it easy for me to know which product I'm reaching for in the steamy shower without my glasses on! The gold lid and printing adds a beautiful touch of luxury to the packaging.

According to the label this conditioner is designed to
  • repair damaged hair structure
  • seal the hair surface with an invisible layer &
  • make hair thicker and glossier.
Oblepikha Siberica Conditioner

This conditioner is listed as containing:
  • Altai Oblepikha (Sea-Buckthorn) Organic Oil
  • Organic Moroccan Argan Oil
  • Organic Oil of White Siberian Flaxseeds, Rhodiola Rosea & Snow Cladonia
  • Vitamins and Amino Acids.
I found this conditioner to be slightly runnier in consistency to other conditioners that I am used to but this wasn't really an issue.

The conditioner has a pleasant, unique scent which I can't really describe. I'm presuming once again that it's the scent of Siberian wild herbs and flowers that I don't recognise.

I note that this conditioner also protects hair from heat exposure during hot styling which I appreciate as it means one less product I need to apply to my hair when hot styling it.

After using this Oblepihka Shampoo and Conditioner my hair felt soft and did look thicker yet sleeker and smoother than normal, with no annoying flyaways that I sometimes get with freshly washed hair.

I would happily purchase this shampoo and conditioner after finishing these bottles. These products are perfect for my colour treated hair.

  3. I have heard so much about this range and would love to try it. I have strong cancer rates in my family so finding products without all the nasties that still do their intended job can be difficult at times. I must admit that even the packaging is enticing.

  14. Both my parents are from Lithuania, a stone's throw from Estonia. Be great to try some wares from the 'old country' that my Grandparents constantly talk about with fondness. With no chemical nasties, I'm hoping the products are as good as all the herbal potions and remedies my Gran tells me are....or at least were, available back there :)

  15. I haven't heard of this brand before! I'd love to give it a go, because all the best stuff skin and hair stuff comes from that part of the world. I've tried other products and been very impressed.

  16. I've been going through a bad patch with shampoo lately thanks to the medication I'm on. Not long after starting it I began to get a burning, itching, flaky and bleeding scalp. I've been using a Matrix scalp sync shampoo which does help. I'd love to try something new as well though, especially something which is nasties free.

  26. I love incorporating as much natural beauty into my regime as I can! These products sound perfect for my hair right now. I've recently cut my fringe into bangs and the amount of frying and drying and spraying they require is a hair nightmare. I love them but I don't remember the last time I straightened this much!

  27. Oh it sounds like a lovely range! I'd love to win, because I've never tried anything from Serbia before haha!

Seriously though, I'm currently going through and using up all those little trial/travel sizes of shampoos and conditioners I have stockpiled through the years and it's a bit hit and miss. Would be lovely to have something that actually works for my hair!

  49. Oh I didn't know you're parents were Estonian. My great-grandmother was Siberian and her son, my grandpa was Latvian. Apparently that's where I get my almond eyes :)
These products sound great and I'd love to win them because they are so natural. Most ingredient lists on shampoo bottles worry me. Plus my hair needs some pampering.
